Hello world!

Moving

We will be moving offices tomorrow. Since our company has many employees, the move will be done gradually. Lucky or unlucky for me, I am part of the first wave of employees that’ll move on Monday. Let’s focus on the unlucky part first.

Unlucky because first of all it will be much far from where our house is. For the past two years, I can wake up at 8:00am and leave home by 8:30am so I can be by the office minutes before 9am. But now with the move, I have to wake up earlier. Make that 3 hours earlier. Then comes the time when we can leave the office, I can leave the office at 6pm and be at home before 7pm. Now, I will still leave at 6pm but by 7pm for sure I’m still in the bus or shuttle on the way home. I’ll be leaving home early but will be getting home late. Unlucky because I promised I’ll stay healthy by going to the gym every morning before going to work. Since the gym is walking distance from the office, I can do my work out by 7am and then still be at the office by 9am. That will not happen now :( I just have to do my work out on the weekends… Good luck to my goal :( Unlucky because most of my batchmates will not be moving yet. So I have no one I can comfortably talk to :(

Now for the lucky part, of course I need to think of ways to negate all the unlucky things I just said. *lol* My network will grow definetely. Since I have no choice but to mingle with who I am with at the office. So everyday I might have a new friend or acquiantance *yay* I’ll be moving out of my comfort zone, which is a good thing right? :)

I still have mixed feelings with the move. I’m excited and at the same time sad. It will be hard leaving the place that I grew up in terms of my career. That office was where I thought everything I know so far. Also I feel bad that I was not able to assist my counterpart on my last day because I had to go to the Makati office for a training :( I just hope everything is ok now. But then again, new place, new colleagues, new experiences. :)

Happy Halloween!

For the first time ever I was able to experience the Halloween feel. I really can’t remember if during my childhood days that I gone out and did some trick or treating. What I remember is usually Easter Egg hunting in our garden before when I was still a kid :) Anyways, yesterday at the office we had our Halloween *party* Employees can bring their children along, we had free caricature and face painting services as well. I had my caricature done, I never really liked getting paint on my face or any part of my body ;) Besides the paint would fade away or washed out easily but the caricature would last longer. I went to work early yesterday so I could decorate one of the rooms that’s going to be the venue for the party… Since I was just working alone, I just cut out bats from black cartolina. Originally, I wanted spiders but spiders are very hard to make so I settled with bats *lol* Lunch time came, my officemates and I went to Shopwise to buy some treats for the kids. I bought some cheap chocolate candies and jellyace :) I missed jellyace! But that’s for the kids anyways, so I bought myself one Choco Mucho chocolate bar :P At around 3pm the program started and the kids started to visit us… One cubicle at a time… It was fun seeing them dressed up as draculas, zombies, devils, fairies and one even dressed up like Barney! It was really fun and I enjoyed seeing the kids. I always loved being around children, I just don’t know if I’d be a good mother to my kids someday *lol* Until the next Halloween event!

Tomorrow morning we will collect our mother from the airport. We dropped her off at the airport yesterday early morning as well… She had to go to Bicol (her province) for some matters. We woke up at 4am so that she could be at the airport by 5am. Tomorrow at least she’ll arrive a little late… around 8am so we don’t need to wake up that early :)

My bf and I won’t be seeing each other tomorrow as well. Since we really have nothing to do… Mall’s would be closed (half-day maybe?) We really don’t want to stay at home when everyone is also at home because we don’t have enough space here at home *lol* We might see each other next week after office though… But that still depends if my flight to SG pushes thru on Thursday. I hope it pushes thru this time :) I’d be gone for almost 3 weeks… I’ll leave on the 6th and be back on the 27th. That’s 3 Saturdays that we won’t be spending together :( Oh well… Absence makes the heart go fonder :)

10 Ways To Love

Just would like to share this text quote I received. I just added the verses from the Bible by searching from this site: BibleGateway

  1. Listen without interrupting. (Proverbs 18)
  2. Throwing lots can settle arguments and keep the two sides from fighting.

  3. Speak without accusing. (James 1:19)
  4. My dear brothers, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry.

  5. Give without sparing. (Proverbs 21:26)
  6. All day long he craves for more, but the righteous give without sparing.

  7. Pray without ceasing. (Colossians 1:9)
  8. For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding.

  9. Answer without arguing. (Proverbs 17:1)
  10. Better a dry crust with peace and quiet than a house full of feasting, with strife.

  11. Share without pretending. (Ephesians 4:15)
  12. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ.

  13. Enjoy without complaint. (Philippians 2:14)
  14. Do everything without complaining or arguing.

  15. Trust without wavering. (2 Corinthians 13:7)

Now we pray to God that you will not do anything wrong. Not that people will see that we have stood the test but that you will do what is right even though we may seem to have failed.

  16. Forgive without punishing. (Colossians 3:13)
  17. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.

  18. Promise without forgetting. (Proverbs 13:12)
  19. Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life.
