I heard that song awhile ago while I was driving on my way home and those lines struck me. So as soon as I got to my room, I opened my laptop and searched for the lyrics. Its such a nice song I love the lyrics and the melody. For those in a LDR like Gel, surely could relate to the lyrics/song.

I’m contemplating on whether to purchase their album or not. Just like the thousands of people in the US, contemplating on what insurance to get from a vast number of insurance sales leads. I’m also moving to a new (online) home soon. I’ve decided on a name and hopefully before the month ends I’m all settled in my new home.

I’ve been meaning to change this layout of mine but I’m having a hard time on searching for a theme that I’d like to customize. Speaking of my site, it’s about to expire by March and I’m thinking if I should renew it or register for a new domain name. I’ve had my domain name for a long time now and I feel like having a change of name. I need to brainstorm ideas before the 2nd week of March. Good luck to me

I don’t know what’s wrong with me but since the year started I’ve been getting sick every month. I’ve had colds and cough last month and now I feel sick again. The same symptoms I had last month, but this time I drank medicines right away and slept early last night to have a full 8 hour sleep.

It’s my boyfriend’s birthday today. I thought I’d beat him to work today but I failed to. I was hoping to surprise him by placing his cake and gift on his desk but his shift is way too early (his shift starts at 7AM). I came in at 6:50AM and he was already busy with work. Oh well, I’ll try to surprise him next time (maybe on our anniversary) I just hope his shift doesn’t start that early by then.

My domain is expiring within 45 days. I’m definitely renewing it but probably only for a year.

Been assigned to do some testing and test scripts at work. I’m a developer but these were the tasks assigned to me for the meantime. I’m now thinking if I should just shift and focus to testing but I feel as if its too late to take a shift. Oh well!

It’s Valentine’s day tomorrow. As usual, we’ll not be spending Valentine’s day together. We had our pre-Valentine’s dinner last Friday wherein he just let all his frustrations about the week out. We’re both hoping that next week will be much better than last week.

My first blog post for 2010 Happy new year everyone!

Just a quick update:

• My blog has been down for a couple of days for some unknown reason. My host and I are both hoping that would be the last longest downtime ever. I’ve also upgraded to WordPress 2.9.
• I’ve started my Project 365, if you have a tumblr, follow me at leitratos.tumblr.com. I hope I’d be able to complete my Project 365.
• Yesterday, my bf and I made our 5 goals for 2010. I wrote it down on my 2010 planner. I hope we both accomplish our goals
• Back to work tomorrow, I hope something new and good is in store for me this 2010 career wise.
• For 2010, I also would like to be able to blog at least twice a week. I’ve been saying this for quite awhile now, but I really want to go back to blogging. I’d really want to earn from blogging again.

As promised I’ll be announcing the winners of my first ever contest. I know my attempt for a successful contest failed but since I started it already might as well go with the flow… I only had two (2) contestants and both of them are winners already. I thank both of them for supporting me and my contest. Thanks Fatima & Beth for the support

I have neglected my blog yet again. So to make up for lost time *LOL* I’ll blog about some random stuff that’s happening or has happened to me for the past few weeks that I was MIA.

I have completed my Level 1.1 German language course last Saturday. So I’m expected to know how to introduce myself in German and ask simple questions like “Can I help you?”. Oh the German translation for that is “Kann ich Ihnen helfen?” in case you’re wondering. The difficult part of the whole course was learning the genders and the plural forms. You see in German almost all the words have gender. So the article to precede the word must be the correct gender. The definite articles are: Der, Die, Das (masculine, feminine, neutral). The indefinite articles are: Ein, Eine (masculine/neutral, feminine). Its difficult because there is no specific rule as to how to distinguish the gender of the word. You just have to memorize it. Some examples:

Garden: der Garten
Door: die Tür
Room: das Zimmer

Learning the plural form was hard as well. Its not as simple as adding “s” to the end of the word. And again there is no specific rule, you just have to memorize it. Some examples:

Babies: Babys
Years: Jahre
Beds: Betten

I might enroll for the next level which is Level 1.2. I might inquire about the schedule on Tuesday since we’ll have no work because of Taguig Day. So I have time to visit Makati on Tuesday. Hopefully, I get to buy some Christmas gifts as well at Glorietta or Landmark. I’m so excited for Tuesday!!

I am a procrastinator. I still haven’t changed my nameservers. I tried to change them the other day, but was not able to successfully transfer my files to the new server. I tried to follow the tutorials found online on how to backup my database and how to import it back to the new server but for some reason I don’t have rights to create a database in the new server. So I just decided to use the old one again. My plan now is just to export my posts and pages and just import it to a new WordPress installation. Good thing I can install WordPress by just using Fantastico that means I don’t have to install WordPress manually. I don’t have a good track record of successfully installing WordPress manually. Even if I’ve been using WordPress for a long time, I still consider myself a newbie with the tool. So far, I have only created 3 WP themes ever since I started using WP. The rest would be modification of themes like the one I did here: FCB Fanclub Manila. It was a favor from my Dad’s friend and I got paid by doing that.

In other news, I won PinoyTwitter’s raffle contest! I was surprised to have won because I joined at the very last minute, as in the day of the deadline. And I get to choose my prize! From the prizes left, I chose to be hosted under Kath. It’s either I get a new domain and have my new domain hosted under her, or just get a subdomain from her. I’m still thinking of a domain name, do you have any suggestions?

UPDATE: I finally was able to move servers! Yay! Let’s celebrate!

My host just switched to a new host and she sent me the necessary nameservers that I should update. I thought that’s all I need to do… Turns out I also need to move my files to the new server. So if you find that my site has gone offline, that’s probably because of the switch to a new server.

I’ll probably do the moving of files tomorrow or on Saturday evening. But for the meantime I have already exported a backup of my MySql database (all my posts and comments are now safe) except for this post haha! Since I’m already done exporting and downloaded the backup already *LOL*

No one seems to be interested in joining my contest. *cries*

If no one will join by the end of the week, I might have to cancel the contest or maybe extend the contest period.
