Orangebin Update
Last Friday, my site was down. I found out about it as I tried to access my site the “Error establishing database connection” error showed up instead of my customized theme. My mood all throughout the day was sad because I wasn’t able to do a backup of my site (database, themes, plugins, posts & pages) I thought I’d be able to do a backup via MySQL but when I was at the MySQL control panel, I find out that the database is gone
So I had nothing else left to do, I felt much more sad because of it. I didn’t know how I’d be able to get a hold of my database any more. Blog entries since August 2008 is gone forever.
Saturday came and I received a plurk message from my host. She told me that my site was back up, so I hurriedly searched for WordPress plugins that would help me back up my site. I found two plugins, downloaded and installed them and soon enough I have a backup of my site. Yay!
Just in case my host decides to switch hosts then at least I don’t have to start from scratch in building my site.

Note to self: Always do back ups. As much as possible do back ups weekly.

Whew! That’s probably a huge relief – I remember running through the same problems when I switched hosts. Good thing the backup restoration went okay though I did lose some new data.
ate lei yes, yan din ang lesson learned ko. i actually have an autobackup through WP-backup. laging every week may backup ako and is sent throguh my mail.

Aw. That would suck losing blog entries from long ago. That would really really suck! I;m glad you had your files all backed up now

Good thing your host backed up your blog. Hahaa
Better back up your blog everyday.. That’s what I do, hehehe
