For the first time ever I was able to experience the Halloween feel. I really can’t remember if during my childhood days that I gone out and did some trick or treating. What I remember is usually Easter Egg hunting in our garden before when I was still a kid
Anyways, yesterday at the office we had our Halloween *party* Employees can bring their children along, we had free caricature and face painting services as well. I had my caricature done, I never really liked getting paint on my face or any part of my body
Besides the paint would fade away or washed out easily but the caricature would last longer. I went to work early yesterday so I could decorate one of the rooms that’s going to be the venue for the party… Since I was just working alone, I just cut out bats from black cartolina. Originally, I wanted spiders but spiders are very hard to make so I settled with bats *lol* Lunch time came, my officemates and I went to Shopwise to buy some treats for the kids. I bought some cheap chocolate candies and jellyace
I missed jellyace! But that’s for the kids anyways, so I bought myself one Choco Mucho chocolate bar
At around 3pm the program started and the kids started to visit us… One cubicle at a time… It was fun seeing them dressed up as draculas, zombies, devils, fairies and one even dressed up like Barney! It was really fun and I enjoyed seeing the kids. I always loved being around children, I just don’t know if I’d be a good mother to my kids someday *lol* Until the next Halloween event!
Tomorrow morning we will collect our mother from the airport. We dropped her off at the airport yesterday early morning as well… She had to go to Bicol (her province) for some matters. We woke up at 4am so that she could be at the airport by 5am. Tomorrow at least she’ll arrive a little late… around 8am so we don’t need to wake up that early
My bf and I won’t be seeing each other tomorrow as well. Since we really have nothing to do… Mall’s would be closed (half-day maybe?) We really don’t want to stay at home when everyone is also at home because we don’t have enough space here at home *lol* We might see each other next week after office though… But that still depends if my flight to SG pushes thru on Thursday. I hope it pushes thru this time
I’d be gone for almost 3 weeks… I’ll leave on the 6th and be back on the 27th. That’s 3 Saturdays that we won’t be spending together
Oh well… Absence makes the heart go fonder
Since May of this year I was tagged as one of the person who will do knowledge transfer of our project to another resource. My travel to Singapore was supposed to be last July but its October already and until now travel dates keeps on moving. At first I was so pumped up to do the knowledge transfer but the delays has just left me with no mood at all. I just want everything to end so I can start working with Logica already.
Nakakatamad na talaga!
Just would like to share this text quote I received. I just added the verses from the Bible by searching from this site: BibleGateway
- Listen without interrupting. (Proverbs 18)
Throwing lots can settle arguments and keep the two sides from fighting.
- Speak without accusing. (James 1:19)
My dear brothers, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry.
- Give without sparing. (Proverbs 21:26)
All day long he craves for more, but the righteous give without sparing.
- Pray without ceasing. (Colossians 1:9)
For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding.
- Answer without arguing. (Proverbs 17:1)
Better a dry crust with peace and quiet than a house full of feasting, with strife.
- Share without pretending. (Ephesians 4:15)
Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ.
- Enjoy without complaint. (Philippians 2:14)
Do everything without complaining or arguing.
- Trust without wavering. (2 Corinthians 13:7)
Now we pray to God that you will not do anything wrong. Not that people will see that we have stood the test but that you will do what is right even though we may seem to have failed.
- Forgive without punishing. (Colossians 3:13)
Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
- Promise without forgetting. (Proverbs 13:12)
Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life.
I just received a payment for a sponsored blog post I did here. Its not much but still, pera pa rin yun!
I was paid 5USD for that blog post alone. Magkano na ba yung 5USD sa Php? Malayo na rin mararating nun. Kaya naman iniisip ko na rin na seryosohin na uli ang pagblog sayang din kasi yung extra money. Let’s say (hopefully tama ang computation ko, mahina ako sa Math e) for one link code, I get 5USD and I get one link code for each day of the week so that’s 35USD already. A month has 4 weeks, so in one month I may earn 140USD! In two months time I may be able to buy a 160GB Ipod Classic *lol* At least diba dito sa extra money I can use it to buy my WANTS. Ang hirap kasi gumastos or bumili ng WANTS kung sweldo lang yung gagamitin ko ang hirap hirap kitain nun e
Saka syempre I have my NEEDS din so mauuna lagi yung NEEDS bago WANTS when it comes to spending my hard earned money (salary). I’m off to join monetizing sites, sana I receive opportunities soon!
You’re all probably wondering why the title for this blog is Green Talk. According to wikipedia, In America, green is a slang term for money, among other things. And since I already used Money Talk as a title before, I decided to use Green Talk instead. Just thought I’d share the story behind the title
I had a bad experience with a credit card company months ago. Ok maybe I am also to blame but I was not informed clearly about it. You see I applied for a credit card against my will… I would never ever reach out my hand to those people handing out brochures at the mall. I told the person I would think about it first because I already have a credit card but he insisted for me to fill up the form. So I did
And that started my bad experience with them… An agent called up asking me a lot of things etc etc. And he even told me that I will be receiveing a manager’s cheque… And I asked him what’s that for? He told me I can use it whenever I like… I told him I didn’t need that but still the manager’s cheque was sent. And I was charged for it. It turns out its like a pre-approved cash advance loan from them. Anyways, what happened is that I just used the cheque to pay what they charged for me… And then I had my credit card cancelled. What makes it worse is that I didn’t even received my primary credit card yet only the supplementary cards… Oh well. After that incident I have been much more tougher when it comes to credit card agents calling and asking me to apply. Pfft!
